How do we do things here?

Back in the olden days, the days of yore, a long time ago…

How does that hit you?  What memories come to mind?  What stories leap to the front?

Yeah, but that was then, this is now.  We are better educated, informed, enlightened.

Ok, now we have set the stage, so let’s chat.  Why does the past even matter, can’t change it (even though some have tried).  So here might be a different question to ask, am I where I am supposed to be today?  Maybe rather am I where I should be today?  Does that even matter?  I am where I am, doing what I do, the way I want (was told/taught) to do it.  How did that hit you?

There will always be the question of, if Adam and Chavah (Eve) had done what they were supposed to do, would we be here today?  Is this what the world would look like, by that I  mean progress.  Does where we are now have anything to do with how we should have a relationship with the Creator and living in His Community.

If time had continued, would you (I mean as an individual) even be here?  That is probably a fun chat for another time.  Yet, is where we are today a device of our own concoction or His?

This applies to both thought and material (substance).  Has our mind, our ways, even remotely aligned with YHVH?  In His scripture are there any references as to whose minds go where? (Probably kind of a rhetorical question)  Do you belive that you can find/do “God” on your own?  Not even remotely talking about engaging in a “higher power”, I’m talking about a relationship with YHVH (so as not to confuse anyone).

If you believe that alone is the way, this blog is definitely not for you.

Now if you do belive that God chose you, turned your head towards Him, we have a point of reference to continue.  How that looks has varied throughout time, to be sure.

Shalom/Chairete,

Bob
