We all want forgiveness, we all are all eligible for forgiveness… Forgiveness is His part of the deal, ours is to obey (oh yeah, and forgive others too). But I have yet to find where consequences enter the equation. Not free from consequences, yet there is a promise to be with us through those consequences. ALL consequences, those of eternal and earthly.
Oh, and you thought trials and tribulations were always things brought on by external forces, not our own. That we have brought some on ourselves by our choices, our decisions, our actions. Self inflicted consequences, yet a promise from our Redeemer to be with us through it all, no matter where they come from, outside or in.
Things happen, how we reflect His character is our test, to push through our wants/needs and do it His way (probably best the first time). Don’t run from consequences, stop (selah) and see how you need to believe/behave/reflect going forward. It really is the only direction you can go…
