My version of the story must be right, it’s heart felt and I believe it. In the common vernacular, them be dangerous words.
We have heard, many times, parables/stories explained many different ways. Yes, there are various levels of understanding (PaRDeS), but there is what the orator/writer intended that is probably correct on the base level, Pashat.
Funny, but I have heard folks explain a parable or vision, they even belive it to be true, yet if you just continue to read and put the text in context, often it really can explain itself. You would be surprised to find, to quote Paul Harvey, The Rest of the Story.
