Perceived perceptions…

Safe Haven

Read above (click on the Skip link) then read below… Remember context…

We often feel unsafe.  There are a myriad of reasons why, many are perceived perceptions, what we think other people are thinking.  We have created our own “Mad Lib”, are you old enough to remember those?  A story with blanks and you asked people to fill in the blank randomly and then read the story out loud.  They were hysterical.

So here is a fun thought.  If you are so sure that you know what people are thinking and therefore can act and react as needed because you know what they are thinking and more pointedly what they are thinking of you then I issue this challenge.  Find a Mad Lib,  they are also in a myriad of places, they even have an app for that.

Now, find someone you know, anyone will do, the more sure you are of their answers the better.  Now fill in the blanks as if you were them, because you know how they think and what they will say.  Then give them a blank identical Mad Lib and have them fill in the answers.  I think you see where this is going…

Let’s help ourselves a little bit, let’s not put so much on others and find out why we are feeling unsafe.  Then maybe we can use many of those same folks as Safe Havens, because we can allow them to fil in the blanks by themselves and maybe surprise us with how safe we feel…

Bob
